Success at the EPS
What a great day for 7Kart! Having never entered a team in the EPS before and, while still learning the track and kart setup we topped the practice times by 0.25 seconds. In qualifying we were pipped to pole by only 0.061 of a second by another flying 7Kart X9 in the shape of Grassroots racing.
Race 1
For the whole race we were locked in a great battle for the lead. After 2 slow pitstops at this unfamiliar track we re-joined in second place over 6 seconds from the leader, meaning we had a big task ahead of us. In the hunt for the win, the X9 was flying and we set the fastest lap and a new lap record of 39.169 (awaiting official confirmation) We got the gap down to 2 seconds behind Titan but didn’t catch them in time.
Race 2
This race was again a great battle at the front, having sorted out our pitstops this time, and a slight setup change, we came out 1 second in the lead after both stops and won with a 12 second lead over Titan, again setting the fastest lap.
